A Scorpio 72' cruising yacht
Length overall 21.94m Beam 5.33m Draft 2.2m

This is an exceptionally spacious, solid, comfortable and high quality cruising yacht. Built in 1987 from a Robert Perry design it is a typical clipper rigged ketch. Goshawk has the added comfort of a pilot house, ideal for the Scotish climate and as an extra space for meeting or socialising.
On deck there is ample room to spread out from sunbathing on the coach roof and foredeck to sitting around the table on the afterdeck. Davits on the stern keep the dingy out of the way all ready for those foraying trips ashore. Imagine being moored in a secluded bay waiting for the sun to set.
Below decks there are two en suite double cabins at the stern. The Galley is situated to starboard and skippers accommodation to port. There is a large saloon with steps to the pilot house and on out to the afterdeck. To port there is a large curved seating area around an oval shaped coffee table and to starboard there is the dining table which seats 10 people easily. This area also houses the Hi Fi system, television and reading books. Forward of the saloon are two en suite cabins with twin bunks. Further forward is the forepeak cabin with V berths. Access to the foredeck is available from the latter. Teak inside and out give the yacht a warm and comfortable feel.
The yacht is equiped with fridge, freezer, microwave, coffee maker, heaters, hot and cold pressurised showers and air conditioning.
In 2007 Goshawk had a major refit which included the fitting of a new 6cylinder 215hp Perkins engine and a new 9KW Kolar generating set for the 230 volt services.
The scorpio is an exceptionally easy boat to sail and guests are encouraged to participate in sailing. should it all get to much we can also set the auto pilot and sit back and relax. This yacht is MCA coded and has all the required safety equipment on fitted. With a 5000mile voyage to the South of France last winter and a circumnavigation during a previous ownership, Goshawk is ready to go anywhere.
